HOLIDAY FENG SHUI TIPS

HOLIDAY FENG SHUI TIPS

Alison here!

With the holidays here, I wanted to share some simple & fun Feng Shui tips.

These ideas will help you decorate your home in a way that feels festive and creates balance and good energy.

Feng Shui isn’t about following rules—it’s about creating an environment that supports you, so I hope these tips help you enjoy a peaceful and joyful holiday season!

1. Bring Nature In with Pine and Poinsettias

The front door is where all the energy flows into your home, so let’s make it warm and welcoming. I love using real pine garland and poinsettias to add a touch of nature and good fortune.

Pine is all about strength and longevity.
Poinsettia symbolizes prosperity.

To honor the Wood Dragon year, red is a great color to feature, but I recommend keeping it just on the front of your house to keep the energy focused where it enters.

2. Add Chimes for Good Vibes

Wind chimes are a favorite of mine—they create a gentle, calming sound that brings positive energy into your space.

Hang them near your door or around your tree to keep things light and harmonious. Metal chimes are especially good at clearing stagnant energy and allowing the flow of fresh Chi. A little jingling can work wonders!

3. Create Abundance with Oranges and Persimmons

If you’ve got a bowl of fresh oranges or a garland of dried ones, you’re not just decorating—you’re inviting abundance into your home!

Oranges represent prosperity, and when combined with persimmons, you’re adding an extra dose of good fortune. The warm, vibrant colors help to create a lively and abundant atmosphere. It’s a little something extra to celebrate the season of giving.

4. Gold Tree Topper for Wealth and Warmth

For your tree topper, I always recommend using a gold Christmas fan.

Gold symbolizes warmth, wealth, and abundance.

Avoid sharp-edged ornaments like stars, though; they can disrupt the flow of good energy. Keep things soft and rounded for a balanced feel.

5. Clove-Studded Oranges for Smells & Beauty

This one is a fun DIY project! Stuff cloves into oranges to make beautiful, fragrant art that doubles as a natural air purifier. Not only do they smell amazing, but they also help to clear out any stagnant energy and bring in a fresh, clean vibe. Plus, they’re totally festive and create a cozy atmosphere.

6. Treat Yourself to a New Broom

A new broom might sound like an odd holiday tip, but trust me, it’s a game-changer! A broom helps sweep out old energy and make room for the new. To bring in fresh, positive energy, get yourself a new one (or gift it to a friend) and hang it upside down to invite prosperity into your home. It’s a simple but powerful way to refresh your space!

7. Warm, Soft Lighting for the Season

The lighting you choose can shift the energy in your home. For a cozy and inviting atmosphere, go for warm or iridescent lights. They add a soft glow to your space, promoting a feeling of peace and relaxation. I love using soft twinkle lights around the tree or in the windows—it feels so calming and magical, don’t you think?

Whether you’re looking to make subtle changes or dive deep into transforming your home, my goal is to help you create an environment where you feel supported and inspired.
