HARNESS THE TAIL OF THE DRAGON PART II: LOVE YOUR PANCREAS

HARNESS THE TAIL OF THE DRAGON PART II: LOVE YOUR PANCREAS

On November 7th, we hosted Part II of our 3-part Harness the Tail of the Dragon series. This gathering focused on nourishing the pancreas, a vital organ that plays a key role in our energy and vitality.

The theme of the evening was:
More Sweetness in Life | Support Your Pancreas

The pancreas plays a crucial role as a deep organ in the body, associated with being able to really understand ourselves. It helps regulate energy, digestion and metabolism, and impacts how we feel on a daily basis. By supporting the health of the pancreas, we stabilize our inner balance & life-force.

Here are some of the quick tips & resources we shared:

1.   Katie’s Flower Essence Recommendations

To feel more connected to the sweetness of life, both internally & externally, Katie recommends these blends:

Infinite Love ~ fall in love with yourself
Luminous Chi ~ feel more present & impervious to abrasive energies
Divine Within ~ dissolve barriers to nourishment
Luscious Embodiment ~ embody your fierce self & set healthy boundaries
Sacred Heart - soothe your heart & surrender into self-love

2.   Lisa gives us full permission to eat more dark chocolate!

To help support stable blood sugar and maintain balanced energy throughout the day, it’s important to consume low glycemic foods, which are more slowly digested and absorbed.

Dark chocolate has a much lower glycemic index than milk chocolate or sweets like ice cream and cakes, which can cause rapid sugar spikes.

Wei of Chocolate is not only low glycemic, but combined with ingredients that support digestion and reduce inflammation (ie. ginger, cinnamon, etc). And, flower essences!!

Psst: By the end of the month, we’ll have 13 flavors, including three new ones: Dragon Heart (with Dragon’s Blood, Dragonfruit & Chinese 5 Spice), Cherry Bomb and Masala Spice!

3.   Supporting Your Pancreas through Chinese Medicine

In Chinese Medicine, the pancreas is associated with the digestive system, including the Spleen and Stomach. It regulates digestion, blood sugar, and blood production, which fuels the body’s systems.

To optimize digestion and blood production, Clearvite is a helpful tool for resetting the digestive system. Magnesium, a key mineral in over 300 cellular processes, supports brain health, heart function, and muscle relaxation.

Acupuncture points for healing digestion and supporting the pancreas include:

  • Ren 12 (between the belly button and sternum) with Luminous Chi and Infinite Love
  • Ren 6 (below the belly button) with Luscious Embodiment and Divine Within
  • Ren 17 (center of the chest) with Sacred Heart

Incorporating these practices and remedies can help maintain a healthy pancreas and improve overall digestion.

4.   Dr. Elizabeth’s Applied Kinesiology Tips for Pancreas Health

In Applied Kinesiology, you can assess pancreas function through muscle testing. The Latissimus Dorsi and Triceps muscles are connected to the pancreas. A weak Latissimus Dorsi can cause a high shoulder on that side, often paired with tight upper traps. Chronic low back pain may also indicate blood sugar imbalances.

Emotionally, the pancreas relates to sweetness in life, feelings of lack of control, and living through others. Reflect on whether you’re missing something sweet in life and using food to fill that gap. Cultivating faith, confidence, and assurance can help bring balance to the pancreas.

5.   Nourishing Recipes by Chef Justin

Justin emphasized using warm, colorful foods to support your pancreas & overall digestion:

Soothing Barley & Mung Beans
Herbal Beef Bone Broth
Vegetarian Mineral Broth

6.   Wisdom Nectar Tea ~ Herbal Support

Long Life Qi tea includes licorice, eleuthero and schisandra ~ herbs known to support blood sugar balance, reduce inflammation, support digestion and energy levels. This loose leaf tea blend is a delicious way to support your pancreas & enjoy a self-care ceremony.

Other herbs to support the pancreas include common cooking herbs ~ ginger, turmeric, garlic and cinnamon. Sprinkle them into your foods for gentle nourishment.

7.   Feng Shui tips for your home from Alison

The entry way to your home is the threshold between the crazy outside world, and your sacred inner space. Here are some easy things you can implement to invite good energy into your home:

  • Make sure your entry way is free of clutter.
  • Get yourself a pair of house slippers. Take your outside shoes off when you get home, and only wear your slippers in your house.
  • Sweep your front entrance clean of dirt & debris.
  • Place something meaningful for you to see every time you open your front door: a vase of fresh flowers, a photo of your family, a joyful painting ~ something that inspires you.
