HOW TO DO A FENG SHUI COMPASS READING

The compass reading of your front door is one is the trickiest, yet the most important piece of information that we need in order to give you an accurate reading of your space.

From our own experience, there are instances that the compass will read totally wackadoodle numbers. Sometimes this can be caused by a lot of metal in the space, or some unseen force that's throwing off the magnets. It can be frustrating or confusing ... but just be patient. 

We recommend taking several readings, at different times of the day, for multiple days. We can always take the average of the numbers that you get. But most of the time, after playing with it, you will develop confidence in a number.

You will also want to get readings with your phone.

Here's how:

First, Turn true North off on your phone.

Then, launch the compass app on your phone.

Then holding your phone, wave it in front of you in an infinite (sideways 8) pattern to reset the sensors on your phone.

Stand at the location of the door -- we need three readings. The front door of the building, the front entrance to your space on the second floor, and the back door of the building.

Stand in the direction if you were walking OUT the door (not INTO the space). So you're facing the outward direction, not the inward direction.

Hold your phone perpendicular to the floor.

And then send us that number that the compass is reading! :D You can also take a screenshot.
